Orthodox Spirituality Quiet Day

 

Dear Friends of St Benedict's Centre, I would like to let you know about a Quiet Day on Orthodox spirituality and the Jesus prayer, to be held on the 29th January at 65 Maidstone Road, Chatham from 10 till 4pm.  It will be led by Paul Stevens, with Karin Dixon.   This day will open a window on the world of eastern orthodoxy and its rich and profound spirituality.  A film will be shown about the late Metropolitan Antony Bloom who helped introduce Russian orthodox spirituality to the UK. In the afternoon the focus will be on the Jesus Prayer, which has been in use in the eastern church over many centuries and is well known for its transformative effect on the spiritual life.  To book: please email susannecarlssons@hotmail.co.uk   Best wishes, Jane
